Upholstery

We take care of the Custom Upholstery work for you.

Whether it is a bargain you picked up from the local sallies or your grandfather’s old chair we can restore, reupholster and update your piece, using natural and recycled materials and organic & New Zealand made fabrics. We use natural latex rubber foam, NZ wool, recycled fibre and can re-spring and re-pad your piece.

We can reupholster or recover most items. Our upholsterer has grown up with the business as his father.

Our Process:

1. Send us an email (or bring your item into the shop), so we can give you a ball-park estimate.

2. Choose your fabric. Choose from our organic and NZ fabric collection, including hemps, hemp and organic cotton blends and NZ wools. Or we can source from a large range of fabrics for you.

3. Choose your finish (for wooden features). Choose from a selection of natural plant-based stains, or simple beeswax.

4. Pay your deposit.

5. We will take care of the rest. We will restore the piece for you and organise delivery to your home (Wellington only).
