Custom Work – Terms & Conditions


1.1 Quotes and Estimates are valid for 1 month only, and
after 1 month are subject to change due to potential price increases. 1.2 When accepting a quote it is understood that all
specifications are clear to you.  Please
don’t hesitate to ask for clarification before accepting a quote.

2.0 Payments

2.1 DEPOSITS: A 60% deposit is required to secure all
product and custom orders. 2.2 CONSULTATION FEES: Invoices for consultation fees will
be charged out once a month and due within 7 days of the date of the invoice. 2.3 BALANCE: The final balance is due on day of professional
installation, or at time of pick up or drop off. 2.4 All goods remain the property of Verdant Design Ltd
until goods have been paid for in full. Verdant Design Ltd reserves the right
to repossess goods if goods have not been paid for in full, or charge any fees
in relation to collection of payment

3.0 Leadtimes & Installations

3.1 LEADTIMES: We aim to give an accurate timeframe of
delivery.  However, any leadtimes given
are approximate only. Fabric/Product/Custom jobs may be delayed due to
circumstances beyond our control.  In
these circumstances we endeavor to keep you informed along the way of progress. 3.2 You will be given notice of an installation at a time
that suits you, the installer and Verdant Design. 3.3 If for any reason you need to change the time organised,
24 hrs notice will need to be given due to the installer’s normally tight
scheduling. 3.4 It would be helpful if any furniture, etc around windows
was moved so we have easy access at time of installation.

4.0 Consultation Fees

4.1 FEES may apply for consultations, however these will be
discussed at first visit. Only estimates for fees are given, and are based on
what is discussed at the first initial meeting. 
If further work is needed such as visits to the home or showrooms,
additional sourcing for either alternative products or new items are required,
these will be charged out at the related rate. Please ask what further fees may
apply if you would like further consultations or designs. 4.2 All estimates for consultation fees are estimates
only.  They relate only to the jobs
listed in the description.  Any work not
listed in the job description will incur extra charges.  This includes any extra site visits that may
be required, due to requests from trades or the client, or any complexities of
the job that may require extra visits. 4.3 REBATES: A refund of 1 hour per room consultation and
design fees may apply, however, only if purchases of fabric from Verdant Design
over $400 are made per room.

5.0 Changes & Refunds

5.1 CHANGES: Any changes made to specifications after the
acceptance of quotes, may incur extra charges and fees. 5.2 REFUNDS: Verdant Design does not have to provide a
refund if you have changed your mind about a particular product.  If the goods are faulty, Verdant Design will
do what is required under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy. 

6.0 Warranties

6.1 We have a 2 year warranty on manufacturing defects of
our curtains & blinds 6.2 Warranties on fabric depend on the Fabric House and the
situation the fabric has been exposed to. 
No warranty will be given on fabrics for any normal fading.   6.3.1 FADING Verdant Design Ltd will accept no
responsibility for fading of fabrics for use in Curtains or Roman Blinds. 6.3.2 Natural fabrics will fade over time, even when window
treatments are placed in south facing windows. 
Care for your window treatments need to be taken. 6.3.3 For Fabric Blinds, we recommend regularly using a
sunscreen blind underneath your Roman or Relaxed Roller Blind.  If you do not wish to do this, we suggest
closing your curtains or Blinds at any time when you are leaving the house for
any length of time, including while being away.
