Wool

Wingback Armchair

Wool is one of nature's wonder fibre.

It is an easily renewable fibre. As well as being warm, it absorbs excess moisture without feeling cold and then releases moisture back into the atmosphere just when it needs it.  It absorbs dye very easily and a good quality wool is also very hard wearing,  making it perfect for upholstery, and often used in commercial interiors.

There is a good range of wool fabrics available in the market. Many are sold made with NZ Wool, however, it isn't actually processed here in NZ.  Our NZ Wools are not only grown/ raised here in our country, but is scoured (cleaned) carded, spun into yarn and woven into fabric all here in New Zealand.

This all creates employment for many in our own country, gives more added value to the farmer and reduces our carbon footprint.
