Triple Weave Woven Dimout Curtain Lining – 150cm Wide (Polyester)

Looking for a washable curtain lining that helps block out light and insulate your space? Our Triple Weave Dimout Curtain Lining is a practical solution for reducing glare from street lights or strong sunlight, while offering thermal properties to keep rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Also known as Triple Weave lining, this 100% polyester curtain lining is our go-to option for customers who want a balance of function and ease of care. While polyester isn’t our ideal fibre, it’s currently the only option we’ve found that’s:

• Easily washable

• Provides light dimming and insulation

• Doesn’t have that strong chemical smell often found in synthetics

• Single fibre (not blended), which makes it more recyclable at end of life

This lining offers around 60% dimout—which may not sound like much, but in real-world use, it’s proven effective. The majority of our clients are happy with this level of light blocking, even when dealing with street lighting. We like to say: you couldn’t run an old-fashioned photo darkroom with it, but it’s more than enough for a good night’s sleep.

This is the same professional-grade fabric used by curtain makers and designers, just split into a more manageable 150cm width for ease of use by DIYers.

We take the 300cm-wide lining and cut it down to 150cm to make it easier to handle for DIY curtain makers. Please note: this version will have one raw edge that will need finishing (we recommend overlocking).

Chemical sensitivities?
While it doesn’t carry official low-VOC certification, several of our customers with sensitivities have told us they’ve had no issues using this lining.
